There were only 100 made (5953-5999,6200-6252). The reason for the gap in car numbers was due to the Triplex cars on the BMT which used numbers starting at 6000. The small number of cars built made it more difficult to find one. The only SMEE cars which were less plentiful were the R-11/34 and the R-36ML. |
