Posted by ntrainride on Sat Apr 25 10:25:56 2015, in response to Re: De Blasio Want To Expand The Subway, posted by JAzumah on Fri Apr 24 14:24:18 2015. agreed. seems like a waste of regional transportation facilities to cut off direct semi-long distance passenger rail access to downtown Brooklyn. keeping it lirr, opening woodhaven, the corridor could still be considered a "super express" line through the heart of a densly developed "inner city" region, out-expressing the A train, yet still allowing for a passenger to board at, say, nostrand avenue and travel to mineola or long beach or wyandanch without changing trains. a city this size, those travel options should be sop. |
