Posted by Andy on Fri Apr 17 12:19:55 2015 April 14, 1964: the last IRT low-V to run in the subways made its final run from South Ferry to 241st St- WP Road. (source: The NY Times, 4/15/1964).Believe a few continued to run as trailers on the 3rd Ave. El in The Bronx for a few more years, but these cars never again ran underground in revenue service. |
