Point taken, nor should you have to.It should NEVER get to the point where you have to run at the pleasure of Wall Street, but the fact is, they would have been screaming whether it was 6" or 60" and some of whom are wealthy enough to fund candidates who will do what *they* want. As said, in my opinion they likely will get back at Cuomo over this by more heavily funding GOP candidates outside New York in House/Senate races where either the Democratic incumbent is vulnerable, it's an open race that's a toss-up or where the Republican incumbent needs the support to retain that seat. The Democratic Party I'm sure knows this and I'm sure even if only privately is FURIOUS with Cuomo and in my opinion may have read Cuomo the riot act over the shutdown behind closed doors because of how they may be the ones who deal with unintended consequences from what happened. |
