I explored Fulton Center on Monday. I agree the transfer to/from the R should be free. Definitely seems a bit underhanded to me that it is not.Without a free transfer, I don't anticipate many normal people using the Dey Street passageway. It was nice and clean looking (and smelling!) on Monday, but as a non-fare controlled zone, I see it as VERY likely to suffer the fate of the old Gimbels passageway at 34th Street- a haven and a toilet for criminals, homeless people, and the insane. |
