Most of these renovations have removed the 1960's and 70's era tiling, which in this case, I don't see why not.I do have a lot of nostalgia for this station, as back in the 70's, when the whole system was so grim, dark, and falling apart, this station was like a beacon, bright, and clean and modern. But it's time has come full circle. It's time to move on, and restore it to what it should be.....it's time for a renovation, as the station has begun to show wear. And yes, at this point, about 50 years since it was renovated, is time to be renovated again. So I hope to see this once again:  Here's a photo I took about 8 years ago below:  It's bittersweet for me, as again, being a product of the 70's, and remember what the system was like, and remembering this station back then, it's hard to let it go, but it's time..... |
