One of the biggest mistakes made in NYC history, tearing down that EL. They could have modernized or even rebuilt it. Sorely missed by east siders. Sorely missed by the whole city IMO. Who knows, it could have been made a tourist attraction. Maybe if they left it up, it could have been a "landmark" in as much as attracting Hollywood, similar to what the Loop El did for Chicago, in addition to moving the masses. |
