Another thing crossed my mind. Before the MTA along with Prince Andrew publicly announced the opening of the tunnel ahead of time, proper clearance tests should have been made to insure that any piece of NYCTA equipment could operate through it without any problems. As for giving the contractors credit for completing the job early, since it was not PROPERLY completed, the contractor should be assessed a penalty.
