SMH... It only doesn't make sense because you're not thinking it through.What is the M going to do with a 5 car train during rush hours Park them in Fresh Pond Yard. They would only be used on the weekend Metro to Essex short turn (A 12 stop line is not a shuttle)and the Metro-Myrtle shuttle weekend nights. When the M was still using R42s, they would keep a small fleet of R143 borrowed from the L stored in Fresh Pond for weekend OPTO service. This will save them from having to cut the 8 car trains into their component sets. You just park the 8 car train and bring out the 5 car one. and make short turns where?  We don't need to send any more trains to Chambers Street. who said anything about Chambers... |
