I'm quite certain the RFP process is part of the reason why the Acela ended up with flaws.An off-the-shelf Siemens Venturio would have been an ideal design for the NEC. Siemens has the ability to make it any width, too; preferably about 10' exactly, just to placate Metro-North and the Connecticut DOT. |
