You got it all wrong. NJT's rules were basically the same as Metro North and the LIRR. You could not use an "off peak" ticket on a peak train if you were traveling to/from from New York, Secaucus, Newark Penn, or Hoboken (not sure about Newark Broad). If you were riding between intermediate stations (e.g. between Elizabeth and Metropark or between Westfield and Plainfield), then you could use an off peak ticket at any time. |
