Weekend Ds used 8 cars for quite a while but M-F Ds used the full 10 cars. B trains used 8 cars for several years since West End platforms were not lengthened for several years after Chrystie opened. Even after that, B, N, and RR trains remained 8 cars for several years even after BMT Bway and 4 Av stations were extended to 10 cars which took place in 1969/70.
