Not to mention in about 15-20 years when it's time for the Hippos to be retired, what then? If MTA doesn't want to get any more 75 foot cars, what do they use? 2 60-foot cars is probably not enough capacity, and 4 60-footers won't fit (maybe platform lengthening to 250 feet?)Really stupid idea on the part of hte planners. Or maybe they thought the Frankie will just shut down along w/ the Hippos. |
