Quite a few of us on this forum actually think of the signature train on the A line as being the R-10s. For all the time I lived in Washington Hts from the time the R-10s were delivered until I moved to Bkln in 1974, the R-10s were the backbone of the A Line with a few trains of R-42s and 44s thrown in in the early 1970s for political correctness.
