Depending on when GE mad the switch from air cooled resistors to blower cooled resistors which were found on all GE contracts from the R-16 through 22 either an earlier R-16 would not have had the "improved" resistor cooling system or a later R-11 type might have suffered from the problem. If the B of T had let an earlier R-16 contract, it may very well have looked like a 60 ft X 10 Ft R-15. |
