These are special due to their link to the PRR and the pre-SEPTA commuter rail system. They are living history, the sort of thing normally only encountered in books and museums. It damn near blew my mind when I first started railfanning that the cars I read about in those black and white Pensy Power books were still out there hauling commuters every day because as far as I knew all that stuff in the books had been long ago vanished...replaced by Amtrak and Conrail and SEPTA.
