Ok guys i was able to get some aerial maps from 1951 and compare them from 2010 satellite map (Credit to gis.nyc.gov/doitt/nycitymap/)1951: ![]() 2010: ![]() As you can see , in the 1951 aerial view the connection to the El at Liberty ave hasn't been built and it looks like there is some major construction going on directly at 75-76 Street and Pitkin. My take on it is that the tunnel extends beyond the Cinder block wall but its just that , a tunnel leading down to 76 Street with or without tracks and then ends. The area for the Station was probably excavated underground but nothing was built. |
