It really is not all that big a deal...I propose saturation service from Astoria to City Hall and Whitehall Streets, with current levels of service to Fort Ham. Trains leaving service from Astoria short turn at Whitehall and deadhead back to Jamaica. Other trains leaving service from Astoria terminate at Ninth Avenue and dead head to Coney Island. Heck, they could even run in service to Forest Hills or Coney Island just so long as gooses knowed that their train was going to do that. LION thinks that this is a better arrangement than switching trains in midtown. roar |
