I never, ever understood the propensity of so many people to spill their guts while in police custody. I always thought the military had it right: If captured, give no information; name, rank, and serial number, that's all. IINM, the only information I'm legally required to give the cops if under arrest, is my pedigree. I have no obligation to assist them in my own prosecution. That said, it DOES beg the question, just how are the cops able to get people to completely forget what they were told in their Miranda warning, and confess all manner of felonious behavior? |

They say, if you just answer our questions we'll let you go. Otherwise we'll arrest you. In fact, it's the opposite. If the detainee shuts up, they don't have the evidence for an arrest. It also helps that most criminals are pretty stupid. |

What's proper is bringing this to trial, presenting ALL the evidence to a jury and letting them decide.Wanna work wonders for the entire country? Lose those stupid 'stand your ground" laws. Convicted or not, that would be the best outcome from this. It's time to stop vigilante violence. |

If that is truly all the evidence in the hands of the prosecutor (and I have no idea if it is or not) then the prosecutor is guilty of massive misconduct.it was all they had... |
