That said, it DOES beg the question, just how are the cops able to get people to completely forget what they were told in their Miranda warning, and confess all manner of felonious behavior?They lie. They say, if you just answer our questions we'll let you go. Otherwise we'll arrest you. In fact, it's the opposite. If the detainee shuts up, they don't have the evidence for an arrest. It also helps that most criminals are pretty stupid. |
