Regardless of the outcome of the 2012 election. The Curley of the current obama administration will be a one term vice president. He'll walk the plank so obama can court the female vote.

It's a bit late for that. The "Obama-Biden" campaign has already been launched. If Obama were going to dump Biden, Biden would already have announced that he wanted to spend more time with his family.

He's no longer "invited" to campaign strategy meetings. Wait and see. Seeing will be believing.

It can't be true; it was in the New York Times.

"The cast of top advisers — a group limited to 10 in hopes of streamlining the meetings — offers a revealing look at the pecking order of the hierarchy in the Obama campaign.

"Neither Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. nor any other cabinet members are on hand. Instead, the room is filled with a group of trusted confidants who were at Mr. Obama’s side during the last campaign."

The only other references I can find are the Weekly Standard touting it as proof Biden is an outsider, and a bunch of right wing nutballs forwarding the Weekly Standard story as proof Biden is out in 2012.

That? He's dreaming this up based on that?

First, in order to keep things organized I can see why he wouldn't want the VP or Cabinet members around....too distracting. Time is limited.I'd bet they brief the VP of decisions made. Bear in mind that at this point in time,it's the VP going out campaigning primarily because the President still has that day job thing and the VP only need be physically around while Congress is in session.

Nice going on the plane thing, too! See what happens when the President does his job, by getting competent alert people on the job.

I seriously doubt Obama will dump Biden as a running mate. This would give the GOP a huge opening to paint Obama as a man who doesn't stand by his friends. The Nixon campaign shredded George McGovern this way in 1972 when he dumped Tom Eagleton for R. Sargent Shriver.

Of course, this was before the word "Watergate" had found its way into the American political lexicon...
