The republicans saw no need for action WRT these insufficient coverage policies, regardless of the reality.In no way does a mandated coverage level infringe on the religious rights of any individual. There are plenty of cases of that. They may work for some people and not all. Also, please remember that the fellow student wasn't using the pills for birth control but to treat another condition. Probably the generic would have worked fine to keep her from getting pregnant, but that wasn't her goal. Her goal was to avoid the horrible pain of ovarian cysts. |

Her mandatory (at Georgetown Law) health insurance SHOULD be covering it, but they won't pay for an office visit or prescription if hormone pills are prescribed. Her primary issue is that if hormones are prescribed to a woman for medical reasons, that insurance will NOT pay for any care related to same. That is a healthcare issue, beyond contraceptives. If you can't dicsuss this in the near-civilized manner typically seen here, don't bother. Even Lardmouth himself apologized. |
