I'm not supporting what Limbaugh said. My response is only that her testimony ought to be honest and truthful. Not sure why you would think generic medicine works any worse than name brand -- it's the same thing. Even if you take your $520 at face value and multiply it by 3 it's just over $1500 -- not $3000 as she claimed. Plus, as others have noted, there are even less expensive options available.If you're going to get up and testify before Congress you ought to have someone double check your math -- even if you're a law student. She went up there with exaggerations to support her cause -- it shouldn't surprise her to be called on them. If someone wants to stand up and say "I'm poor and I want you to pay for my birth control", it shouldn't be surprising to have at least some people respond with "Maybe you should keep your clothes on a bit more" |
