HCR, as passed, mandates a standard be set for coverage. This will enable some thing the republicans wanted....to be able to sell across state lines. Without this national standard, interstate insurance marketing would become a race to the bottom, and consumers would be driven into bankruptcy in record numbers for non-covered healthcare needs. The republicans saw no need for action WRT these insufficient coverage policies, regardless of the reality.

In no way does a mandated coverage level infringe on the religious rights of any individual. One need not avail themselves of these services.

Corporate entities are not allocated the same rights as individuals. The only decision that is contrary to this is Citizens,which permits political speech. So these churches are free to form a PAC.
