Tommy Christopher:A review of a clearer version of the video, however, casts serious doubt on whether Santorum actually said “black people’s lives.” CBS News has posted a cleaner version of Santorum’s remarks, and it seems as though Santorum did not actually say “black people’s lives,” but rather, that he stumbled in mid-sentence with a verbal tic that sounded like that. “I don’t want to make…mmbligh…people’s lives better” is what it sounds like to me, although CBS News also transcribes it as “”make black people’s lives better by giving them somebody else’s money.” Given the preceding context, in which he talks about the government trying to get more Iowans enrolled in Medicaid, the former explanation makes much more sense than the latter. Either you're a liar, or you never actually listened to the video before accepting a biased version of what it actually contained. Liberals have an annoying habit of doing this and I must claim to have not actually listened to the video myself until today. I suggest people listen to it for themselves, and account for the new, CLEARER video which Christopher provides at Mediaite before making a final judgement. |

Oh absolutly..I saw a program today on NY1 saying how FOOD STAMPS are now being used by folks at the FARMERS MARKETS for fresh produce..something that was unheard of sometime ago.. There was once a time where you COULD make 40,000 a year..and live comfortably..!Now "its at or below the POVERTY LINE.."! Greed..my friend..has driven this place into a madhouse where the rich have become richer and wanting more..the poor have become WORST OFF..and the folks in the middle..like myself..are fighting to stay out of the poorhouse. Lip service is what it is..yet its very different for those who speck it..than those who have to listen to it. |

CBS got hold of another one, and it, at the very least, casts doubt on what he was saying.CBS has no love for Santorum, and neither does Tommy Christopher. What they do have is credibility that needs defending, hence the new "spin". Claiming someone said something when they may not have is not good for your credibility. Hell, even I don't like Santorum. He's a too far to the right on too many social issues for my taste. If CBS did this to Ron Paul, I'd defend him equally, even though I hate his fucking guts. |

There is, from what I can see, no "question" at all of what Santorum said. In fact, what DID he say, Chris, if not "black people". Santorum himself issued a "non-denial denial", in which he said "I don't remember saying" what EVERYONE saw and heard him say, in living color and audio sync. |
