If you look at Terrorists, they're usually young, poor, not very smart, sorta like those who make up a majority of gangs, and just like how in gangs an older person leads them into the gang with promise of money and power, radical imams promise them heaven etc etc. It's a bunch of young idiots who make up a majority of these terrorists and suicide bombers. What needs to happen is that education, and economic opportunities need to be present to produce an alternative to those who use the lost youth.Look at Indonesia for example, 200 million Muslims, and one of the most westernized nations in the world, very peaceful, part of the G-20, and ASEAN, apart of the WTO. So let's be real about Muslims and Islam in general. If you produce a country where its economically stable, where education is important, where theres very little poverty then terrorism will whittle down considerably. Look at the countries where Terrorism is for the most part comings from... Afghanistan, Pakistan, Somalia, Yemen, (Iran) for the most part, dirt poor countries, high illiteracy rates, high poverty rates, so its ripe for terrorists who are the only ones who offer schools (tho they preach radical islam) food etc. Gangs and Terrorists aren't really much different from each other if you think about it, especially in what allows Terrorists and Gangs to thrive in poor areas. |
