Whenever I went to Canada for the TA I carried my passport. Returning to the U.S., we went through U.S. immigration in the airport in Montreal. I just showed the passport to them automatically without their asking for proof of citizenship or any other nonsense; this was in the 90's; why ask for trouble, is my philosophy. |

We go there via the Oliver Northway, it's just saner. And they're always nice about it since we cut to the chase and print up an itinerary and just hand it over at the booth. Impresses them, it does. But yes, having the right paperwork makes the bienvenue as well as the "get the fuck out" go faster and smooother. :) |

The Maricopa County Sheriff has been doing pretty much what this law requires for 3 years and there hasn't been a suit yet. In that time they have turned over in excess of 30,000 people to ICE. |
