I thought your wife said you weren't posting here any more? Was she lying?

It sounds like an utter nightmare. Hopefully truth will prevail, and at least it will end in a bargain, and you can go your seperate ways....but it will probably take a while.
The best of luck with it, as you will need it.

I presume that the fact that he has been charged and you haven't should be a positive for you in the civil case as well. It should show that the police believe that you were defending yourself and your family.

As for that SOB - he should consider himself lucky that all you had was a baseball bat. He deserved a shotgun shell through HIS teeth!!!

Wishing your wife a speedy recovery - although I do know it will be a long one especially because of the dental work needed.

As for the political angle - it seems this election has brought out the worse in people - I don't recall so much hatred in previous elections. I am not so sure it will calm down afterwards.

Like I said, I'm sorry this POS was able to ruin life for you like that. Most people on the right are not like that.

But AFAIK, Selkirk DOES think that most people on the right are like that. And that's messed up.

Manchester United has NOTHING on the assholes across the river.

Cheer yourself that they're a dying breed. I was up in western Greene County over the weekend - a place that has NEVER voted blue in anything more than a village election. The Obama and NcCain signs were about even - not many of either. But there were quite a few Gillibrand signs and NO Treadwell signs.

About politics ... sorry for YOUR situation there, a bris is supposed to be done down between the legs, not above the eyebrow ... my sympathies. I'd sue ...

We've had our differences over politics but I would never minimize your wife being assaulted. However Your entire story does not track true to me.

1) Someone assaults your wife causing significant bodily injury and pain.
2) He's not in jail.
3) He's suing you.

There's more to this story or a whole lot less.

Plenty more ... and yeah, he WAS in jail until he could make bail ten days later once he could be moved there out of his hospital bed. Got moved over to Rensselaer because someone I know who is in charge at the Albany jail had a little talk with him over what he did. I'll leave it at that. "Change of venue" was requested after arraignment and that delayed his trial. Other legal motions are in the works which delayed it further and his attorney is still trying to get the trial moved, so no set date even yet. Can't go into any more specifics than I have at this point on advice of "counsel" but let's just say that I lost a friend of 20 years (who brought him here) over it all. Once things are saner, will let anyone interested know but that's where it sits right now. I've posted several previous messages which I'm sure Treopain can find for you. :)
