I'm staying away from the poly-ticks until Wednesday, but here's the latest on what's been going on here after spending most of the daytime with the "attorneys" ... apparently the idjit is suing me for "use of excessive force" in taking a baseball bat to him after he turned on me. Somehow I suspect ventilating his liver would have been a REALLY bad idea. :)So he's suing us over in Rensselaer county for his medical bills since he owns a "home remodeling business" but has no insurance, and is thus coming after his medicals AND "loss of business" while he was laid up. Bunch of other nonsense in his "complaint" but looks like it goes to court over there next month. Our "insurance" company is none too pleased, so the complications over this are getting more and more interesting. Knew this was happening last week, but found out that this moron could take our house given that "appropriate response" in New York is "flee" and do NOTHING. :( And the one thing that would have been in my favor (the video) was unfortunately one of the folks who came over who was shooting some wild turkeys trotting across the property and only has the audio of the "incident" whereupon his camera turned around after Nancy's lawn chair hit the driveway, and all that's VISIBLE is me taking the bat to him. Not what I would call helpful, but at least his words are on the chip as clear as day and the sound of him smacking her without "pix." So apparently we're going to elevate it to a "hate crime" and have him charged with a felony and see where it goes from there. Whatta mess. And over an election. Have looked over how stupid things have gotten here since, and I'll be VERY glad to see it all over. :( |
