There is another issue that might be relevant.Jessica Gonzales-Rojas endorsed Cuomo for the general election. Her district went solidly for Mamdani. Had the situation been reversed: she endorsed Mamdani and her district went for Cuomo, then Mayor Cuomo would not have endorsed her chosen successor. That's how politics is played. |

The fact that Gonzalez-Rojas turned against Mamdani in the general election means that her chosen successor isn't that likely to vote for Mamdani's program every time. she would be there to serve the people of Gaza in the New York State Assembly. As opposed to service AIPAC's interests? :=) NYC demographics have shifted over the last 20 years. The 2010 census revealed there were 1 million fewer Jews in NYC than in 2000. The assembly district in question probably has more mosques than synagogues - at least Google Maps indicates that. |

Her advisor made it clear that he thinks that her job would be to beat the Israeli lobby.But they're all members of the "Democratic" Socialists of America and agree on most everything else. Not to mention that it's not like Romero is Pro-Israel, he's just as much of a watermelon as Mamdani. I've always been skeptical of the argument that Mamdani is a "jihadist," because I see him as a socialist more than a Muslim; but he's worse than either of those things: he's a third-worldist. |
