Speculative.So was the Daily News article with the headline: "Mamdani backs Palestinian activist in legislative race where battle with ‘Israeli lobby’ a key issue" Gonzalez-Rojas's chosen successor is likely in political agreement on most things with Mamdani and would likely vote with him every time. The fact that Gonzalez-Rojas turned against Mamdani in the general election means that her chosen successor isn't that likely to vote for Mamdani's program every time. she would be there to serve the people of Gaza in the New York State Assembly. As opposed to service AIPAC's interests? :=) NYC demographics have shifted over the last 20 years. The 2010 census revealed there were 1 million fewer Jews in NYC than in 2000. The assembly district in question probably has more mosques than synagogues - at least Google Maps indicates that. |
