I would rather have this holiday than a whole month dedicated to child molestation, grooming, sexualization and castration of minors.

He was "elected" by a so-called constitutional convention that consisted of delegates from only six of the breakaway states in January 1861. There was an "election" in November of that year, where he ran unopposed for what was supposed to be a six-year term; a real one-party state.

The Confederate battle flag is partially based on Saint Andrew's Cross, the national flag of Scotland. While the latter flag is included in the Union flag of the UK, the "Union Jack" and the Southern flag are very, very different.

I am a big Civil War fanatic and a voracious reader of literature of that period, not the least of which is the fact that I love and idolize Abraham Lincoln. I think the Confederacy was an illegal outlaw bunch of traitors who were lucky to get off lightly. Yes, my opinion on that is extreme, but people who relished teaching and or studying that era are very emotional in their feelings towards the two sides in that conflict-----and, yes THE GOOD GUYS WON.
