One election that defiantly (sic) was not stolen

The people never elected Jefferson Davis, initially. He was "elected" by a so-called constitutional convention that consisted of delegates from only six of the breakaway states in January 1861. There was an "election" in November of that year, where he ran unopposed for what was supposed to be a six-year term; a real one-party state.
