Why can't the police catch these guys despite such clear photographs?They are probably local. Maybe not from Fresh Meadows but definitely from Queens. No one from Bowne, Cardozo, Bayside, or Forest Hills high schools recognizes them? Odd. Look at them. They aren't Chinese or Korean so that eliminates 50% of the population in eastern Queens. Well, a significant percentage anyway. They're white kids. Dark hair. They don't like Italian, German, Irish, or any of the major white ethnic groups in Queens. They could be Latino(Salvadorans from College Point), but to me, they look very eastern European. Some kind of Russian. So why isn't anyone snitching on them? My guess is they are members of an ethnic minority. A very insular community, and this has kept them safe. To me they look Bukharian Jewish. Maybe not. Maybe Russian Muslims. In either case, these suspects are from some kind of niche ethnic minority that you only find in places like Queens, and their community isn't snitching. They aren't Chinese or Korean so that eliminates a big chunk of eastern Queens. Then I point out that they don't look mainstream white(i.e Italian, Irish-Catholic, German). Then I point out that all three have dark hair. Latino could be considered but looking closer, I figure they are of Eastern European ancestry. To me they look Russian, possibly Bukharian. The fact that they haven't been snitched would indicate that they are members of an insular ethnic minority. That's the best explanation. |

I see news stories of Rangers fans getting into a fist fight at a hockey game and the subject is identified and arrested with 48 hours. Why? They're mainstream Americans. These kids, who we'll call Statue Teens, aren't mainstream. They are an ethnic minority and that is why they fly under the radar and avoid arrest. |

It was easier for The Church to settle.Police and media did what they could.
