There are people like me who get very emotionally charged when I see the Stars and Bars because as a retired history teacher I read, studied and taught that era until it was almost a part of my identity and became an unreconstructed Radical Republican.That does not mean I hate the South TODAY. You know, South Carolina, the first state to secede and the most anti Union state now has a Black US Senator, a black Miss South Carolina, and an Indian-American governor. They are not the South of yesteryear. Still, I hate seeing that flag flown anywhere. You, however, are entitled to your opinion and it should be respected. Can't help I'm a wild man on that. |
