Neighborhood elements will try to identify them. Any idea why Adam Toledo were firing a gun? It looks like a clean shooting to me. That still shot where Toledo dropped the gun is what millions are seeing but he had the gun until less than a second before trying to surrender. Cop was in a bad position. Chasing an armed suspect in a dark alley. It's a bad position for a cop to be in.

Italians lead to a lot of Mafia. Puerto Ricans a lot of street crime. Asians and Indians reduce street crime. Now you get little waves of many groups and they don't form strong street gangs like in the past. NYC dodged a bullet when Central American went to LA, Miami, suburban DC, Baltimore and of course, Brentwood.

Years of Central American immigration, when the males were between 15-25 years of age roughly, things were fucked up. Shootings and stabbings were more common and a Brentwood Thread was required regularly. My mother's high school friend moved from Ridgewood Queens to Brentwood in 1977. We'd visit about once a year and I thought it was heaven on earth. They had a big yard with a swing on the big tree in the backyard. A big basement and a big TYCO set. Suffolk overall has much more crime now than in the 70's.
