One reason NYC crime dropped significantly over the decades is because we never got a big wave of one group at a time like in the past.Italians lead to a lot of Mafia. Puerto Ricans a lot of street crime. Asians and Indians reduce street crime. Now you get little waves of many groups and they don't form strong street gangs like in the past. NYC dodged a bullet when Central American went to LA, Miami, suburban DC, Baltimore and of course, Brentwood. |
