Years of Central American immigration, when the males were between 15-25 years of age roughly, things were fucked up.Shootings and stabbings were more common and a Brentwood Thread was required regularly. My mother's high school friend moved from Ridgewood Queens to Brentwood in 1977. We'd visit about once a year and I thought it was heaven on earth. They had a big yard with a swing on the big tree in the backyard. A big basement and a big TYCO set. Suffolk overall has much more crime now than in the 70's. |
