I thought the homophobic quote and the one about Sandra Fluke was disrespectful, but the rest was his attempt at comedy which I thought was funny. And the L.A. riot WAS caused by rioters, not the Rodney King version. But all in all, I'm not mourning Rush Limbaugh.

Nowadays, KQV in Pittsburgh is "dark" now, as in surrendered its license to the FCC & off the air, succumbing to the slow death of AM radio in this country. With FM radio ever dominating the ratings these days, Rush was generally thought as the savior of AM radio, with his 500+ (mostly AM) stations & millions of listeners. With Rush gone, I wonder how many more AM stations will also soon die?

More and more stations outside cities have talk radio on FM as well as AM. Anyone left with AM stereo receivers? I remember a few cars in the 1990s having AM stereo, but that appears to have been a fad.

Sometimes it's a guy yelling about Jerusalem in Arabic too near the larger cities. Talk radio is on FM now.

Should we start talking about shortwave too? My old shortwave radio has a broken antenna, but sometimes I can still pick up stations; and if that fails, they have live streams on their websites or radio apps.

Now 90% of it is residential and 10% is government offices. The residential portion has more people than VT or WY.

The current statehood proposals involve reducing the capital district to specifically the uninhabited portion of downtown DC that contains the various important government buildings, and the rest would form a state.
