The heart is only a pump and other animals have such similar hearts that xenotransplantation is an active area of research. The only reason that xenotransplantation doesn’t currently work is because the immune system rejects it, a heart from a pig or a non-human ape is an adequate substitute. |

I am of the opinion that some brain activity in a developing fetus is needed to get the heart to beat. Therefore the heart is more of a reliable indicator of life. That said, the pro abortion crowd is not really interested in the biological aspects of the argument. They are heavily invested in the argument that its a woman's body and she should be able to do anything she wants with her body. Of course, this is falicy. She cannot inject illegal drugs or commit suicide. This of course is aside from the moral question of when life begins or is the developing child a seperate individual. |

The GOP had the economy, the border, crime, high gas prices and the success of so many Red states and the poor showing on living conditions in the blue one. Yet suburban women, poor young people and black citizens still supported the Democrats when they had only one issue favoring them. The Republicans must keep their mouths shut about abortion and the states handle the problem themselves.....that is, if they want to win in 2024 and not seize defeat again from the jaws of victory. |
