In 2017 there were 3.85 Million live births in the US. there were also 851K Abortions that year. To me that seems like an awful lot of women who were careless about their reproduction in one way or another. Correcting a mistake by aborting it may seem like being responsible but preventing unwanted pregnancy is being responsible. |

I look at responsibility as a woman deciding whether she has the means and the desire to raise a child and making an appropriate choice.Not all contraception is foolproof. Abortion is "Plan C" as it were. There's no particular moral advantage to preventing a pregnancy in the first place than having an abortion. It's just less invasive and preferable for that reason alone. |

Those costs are 10s of times more costy than responsible birth control. |

I get that but what type of life we care about is fundamental to any conversation surrounding abortion. My opinion is that sometime between conception and birth life forms that we should care about. I don't know when that is but for me it is absolutely not until just before delivery. I know that it is for some and I can't wrap my mind around that way of thinking. |

It is for that reason that I think that at some point between fertilization* and birth, that’s enough of a human in there to count as a baby. That’s why I would accept a cutoff of something that’s certainly before this occurs. Not a heartbeat though because other animals have such similar hearts that xenotransplantation has already been done.*Pregancy begins at implantation, not fertilization, but religious people seem to have fixated on the latter. |

If so, and even if not, I think that ridiculing someone else's opinion without qualifying your own leaves you open to interpretation.I rarely watch the news but I see the opinion of having no limitations and leaving the decision to the pregnant person and medical professional becoming much more prevalent. |
