How did it make health care worse? So you were okay with insurances denying people life saving or necessary medical care?

Got you.

People are against it because Republicans lie about it. Period.

Healthcare for all if implemented properly would save thousands of people a year, infact one study said it would save over 68,000 lives a year. It would make the economy stronger because people instead of going to work sick or worse not come back to work due to not being to physically would instead seek treatment and come back to work increasing productivity. Also an overall healthier population decreases medical costs overall.

A healthier population is a prosperous one.

Unfortunately the people in congress and president trump who dont support that have access and can afford the best healthcare possible.

Sadly we have evanglicals and republicans who talk about god and country but dont give a shit about saving their fellow countryman's life if it meant a few cents more on their taxes.

Or as I call it Christian Lip service.

the population is not healthier and the quality of health care isn't going to get better if it's free.

The population is far unhealthier and getting worse but that ain't Obama's fault. The cost increase is though.

Youre making an assumptions, dozens of studies say you are wrong.

Cost increase is? Well Trump has been here 3 years what did he do about it? He said he was gonna fix healthcare and give everyone the same coverage for cheaper and slash the cost of medicine which is going up faster than inflation.

Stick to diets luch, you know nothing else.

Ratboy, the joke is on you as I have never voted for Trump. Our system of government works best when you have two fairly equal parties having to pitch to legitimately swing voters in order to obtain a majority. I have stated that an ideal Supreme Court would have a 4-4 split with the 9th Justice more of a wildcard that is liable to jump to the other side if one group of 4 goes too far. A lot of our Constitution is clear. The 3rd Amendment, for example, is very black and white. The issue becomes that with other places like the 8th Amendment, the founders stated more abstract goals and did not define within the document all of the terms. Cases involving the latter, unless it is agreed under any standard that the law violates the Constitution (i.e. mandatory remand for any violation of the law, mandatory vehicle forfeiture out of proportion to fine charged offense or possible fine), should involve robust debate an acting solely on the facts of the case rather than use it as a vehicle to enact sweeping changes to the law. The Democrats are becoming more brazenly out of touch with mainstream America. I want that to be curtailed so they don’t go the way of the Whig Party and we are stuck with one party rule.

Oooh the stalking lawyer opened his mouth.

look at you making inaccurate statements again

“The Democrats are becoming more brazenly out of touch with mainstream America. I want that to be curtailed so they don’t go the way of the Whig Party and we are stuck with one party rule.”

This is where you fail. You fail to understand just like with Trump there is a growing number not happy with where the party and country is. Especially among younger voters. Something you seem to completely ignore... but again people ignored Trump and look where we are. The only thing salvaging trump are a lot of Bernie supporters havent reached voting age but he speaks to them.

College costs are insane
Cost of healthcare is insane
The economy though strong doesnt afford one the opportunity to afford a home on one persons salary or wage.

You say bernie is out of touch with mainstream america, no hes hitting the right tones because these are issues affecting people just not people like you or trump supporters which are mostly white, and tend to be older, which some of these issues arent important to them.

Democrats are fine, theyre going through the same transition that Republicans went through in 2016. Even if Trump wins 2020, 2024 a lof of people who young voters who like Bernie who believe in these core issues will be able to vote.

Republicans are the Party of Trump they embraced hard right.
Democrats are going the way of Bernie because thats what alot Americans want.

You sound the Republicans during 2016 decrying Trump.
Now they fall in line.

Enough fearmongering and lies out of you. If Bernie and dems were out of touch they wouldnt be pulling record turn out for caucus.

College costs are insane because heaven forbid it not have a bloated administrative staff with more Deans and Assistant Deans than faculty, or heaven forbid it not have the newest gym, dorms, or dining hall facilities. The other problem is that we have demonized trade schools and union apprenticeships as alternative means of advancement versus going to college. Electricians, auto repairmen, etc. will always be needed.

Health care was going up well before Trump was elected. For someone like me, Affordable Care Act has been a disaster. My premiums have gone up every year thanks to fewer insurance companies in the marketplace for consistently decreasing benefits. Since the Affordable Care Act was passed, my insurance has changed 5 or 6 times due to plans no longer being offered, my rates have more than doubled, and I am getting less. First it was not having out of network benefits, then they curtailed who was in network, then they took away the ability to see “specialists” without needing a referral. I was/am young, healthy, and do not have any pre-existing conditions. Finding inexpensive high quality health insurance prior to Affordable Care Act was not an issue.

With housing, growth has exceeded wage growth. In any non-government controlled economy that happens. If your entry level job is no longer meeting your needs, acquire the tools to get a better job. It is not the job of the government to provide housing and a wage to everyone. This isn’t Venezuela.

The solutions to your problems are not more government regulation as Sanders proposes.

Using Venezuela? Fearmongering much?

Again you act like you understand? Telling people what to do. You act as if the tools are available to everyone to move forward. Republicans have been removing money from Education while college costs of have soared. You may it seem like you dont like the entry level job you can just run get the tools and voila a better job. You over simplify for the sake of a flawed argument. The tools arent easy to find and hiding it being the veil of “capitalism” is also wrong.

Especially when you have nations out there with better educated populaces, higher per person wages and happier people overall. But wait those are countries with free or almost free tuition like Sweden and Norway.

But you somehow forget these nations and use venezuela.

Oh yeah it doesnt work for your fearmongering argument.

You are the one out of touch, using mccarthy tactics and lying to push flawed points.

Yes college can be free or tuition be reduced so people have the tools to move forward.

Also why are you ignoring stats showing many college students having to work 2 jobs to ends meet?

You look at your life and then use a broad brush assuming everyone had the same tools and access.

So take your fearmongering, your lies and your push of ignorance and take it elsewhere and next time you remember when you bring up venezuela theres other nations out there that are better than the US in some metrics which have policies which you currently dont support.

sucks for you

If you believe that Sweden and Norway are better, nothing is stopping you from moving there. Sweden and Norway are able to do that because they are not expected to take in every poor soul who comes across their borders or act as a worldwide police force. If these countries had to have a significant military budget or provide for those who are not contributing their economies would collapse. It is not fearmongering, it is reality. Sweden and Norway also has an even worse tax structure than the United States. What R&D is Sweden and Norway at the forefront of besides IKEA? Excessive taxes to pay for social services stymies development because there is no incentive to create something new because you will never recoup your investment.

Ah so the arguments are now illegal immigrants...
Military budget...

Yes, its the role you play when you are the beacon of freedom and democracy. If we can spend $700 billion a year for a military, literally handing them blank checks for failed projects such as F-35 we can make due spending our dollars to secure our nation through better infrastructure and education and making such available to more people.

Its called an investment and like any investment you have to spend.

As for Sweden and Norway, people are happier there, they make more money on a average than a person in the US.

And youre saying there is no incentive? You have nothing to back that up and the economic numbers say you have no idea what youre talking about.

Go home mtk, your arguments are steeped in ignorance, bathed in lies, and reek of racial stereotyping.

Being the beacon of freedom and democracy comes at a cost as money is not infinite. If you had $500,000 you can give 5 people $100,000 or you can give 500 people $1,000. No one is stifling innovation except you...

We want big corporations broken up to create more competition

We want more people to go to college to develop a talented pool of people who can lead a new generation of product and research development.

You dont mention china produces 10X the number of engineers as the US, you dont mention how many foreigners are hired by corporation for their talents because the US pool isnt as big.

Not as fast as you move the goalposts whenever you open your mouth. China’s population is larger than the United States so they are going to have more engineers. Foreigners are hired because they are cheaper, not because they are better. At the end of the day businesses want to make a profit. If you are taxing like would be necessary to afford what you are looking to do there won’t be any profit from new development. The solution to spur economic growth opportunity is not increasing government control, but reducing red tape and needless bureaucracy. Much like the colleges with bloated administrative overhead, we can better serve the needs of the country by streamlining government not adding to its largesse.

what has Sweden and Norway been at the forefront of in terms of R&D?

These are small countries with populations of: 9 million - Sweden; 6 million - Norway; and 5 million for Denmark and Finland.

However, Sweden's R&D expenditure is 4.3% of its GDP vs. 2.8% for the USA. Their small size relative to the USA means that their R&D expenditures are tiny compared to the USA and other large countries.

The Scandinavian countries have been in the forefront of software development, where great amounts of capital are not required.

Denmark is the birthplace of C++ and Ruby on Rails.

Finland is the birthplace of Linux.

Sweden is the birthplace of Skype and MySQL.

Norway is the birthplace of Siri.

Much of their software is open source and is shared freely by commercial companies like Google, Apple, and Facebook.

Many of their developments are subsequently bought by American firms and incorporated into their "American" products. This represents a shift in the 50+ years, since I earned my engineering degrees. The USA used to be the chief inventor and exporter of technological innovation. More and more the USA is becoming a major purchaser.

Seek help, little buddy.
