Yes, its the role you play when you are the beacon of freedom and democracy. If we can spend $700 billion a year for a military, literally handing them blank checks for failed projects such as F-35 we can make due spending our dollars to secure our nation through better infrastructure and education and making such available to more people. Its called an investment and like any investment you have to spend. As for Sweden and Norway, people are happier there, they make more money on a average than a person in the US. And youre saying there is no incentive? You have nothing to back that up and the economic numbers say you have no idea what youre talking about.
