The "left" isn't eating that shit, it’s the trumpers that believe the bullshit.

NOAA doesn’t sharpie, they print a fresh map. Get real.

So what is your view?

1. It's OK, when you're caught out in a stupid little mistake, to try to repeatedly lie your way out of it.

2. It's not OK, but we know Trump is a sleaze, and this isn't a particularly important example. So it's not worth spending much news time on it.

3. Other. If so, I would be interested how you look at it.

How about, "Let it go, no one cares, you are making fools out of yourselves".

The shear amount of time spent on this utter nonsense has been absurd. Everyone knows Trump. Everyone knows the left will take absolutely anything and run with it to point something out about Trump as a reason why not to vote for him, like anyone that cares about this nonsense would have anyway.

FWIW it appears that an early model *did* heavily suggest impact to Alabama.

The tweet is datestamped before SharpieGate and tweets cannot be edited, only deleted, so it's as authentic as it gets.

It's entirely possible someone mentioned Alabama early on and he just ignored/missed all the data afterward that said otherwise. Forget about admitting he's wrong, he seems to have aversion to people thinking he was wrong on something when he fully believes he's right.

That, and #SharpieGate seemed to play in his favor overall. So he's probably just doing it as a song and dance for the media at this point.

About that "projection", from the thread below that Tweet::

"You should have had added some context here. This is an experimental model that is inferior to GFS/ECMWF. Scares the daylights out of people without proper context. I say that because I am in Florida and trying best to keep folks informed without unnecessary hype."

An unofficial, experimental model isn't vindication of Trump's claims. Again, before Trump applied executive pressure to NOAA, that agency repeatedly corrected the President on this.
