New Zealand, you do you.

What's interesting is four terrorists managed to disarm the citizens of an entire country, pretty impressive.

Why are you complaining to me? I’m just pointing out a fact about automatic mode outside of movies.

That said, “assault weapons” bans are bullshit. I’d like to hear a gun grabber define “assault weapon” and explain why they should be banned.

I hereby propose, in response to your request, that semi-automatic weapons should be banned.

Canada bans them and has 1/7th the gun murder rate of the US, while having a comparable non-gun murder rate (thus proving that it's not a cultural thing - Canadians are just as murder-inclined as Americans; they just can't implement as effectively).

Unlike "assault rifle," Semi-automatic has a specific definition not subject to debate. A succinct and accurate definition is available in the first sentence of the Wikipedia article about semi-automatic firearm:
A semi-automatic firearm, also called self-loading firearm or autoloading firearm (though fully automatic and selective fire firearms technically are also self-loading), is one that not only fires a bullet each time the trigger is pulled, but also performs all steps necessary to prepare it to discharge again—assuming cartridges remain in the firearm's feed device. Typically, this includes extracting and ejecting the spent cartridge case from the firing chamber, re-cocking the firing mechanism, and loading a new cartridge into the firing chamber. To fire again, the trigger is released and re-pressed.

Some terrorists choose to run over crowds with trucks. Trucks haven't been banned; that's a bit difficult (of course AOC would ban them for a far different reason).

After every criminal mass shooting, the first reaction of the liberal socialist democrats is to take guns away from the law abiding citizens, the ones least likely to commit gun crimes. Funny how the mind of the liberal Socialist democrat misfires.

Wrong. It reduces the sheer number of guns whihby default if nothing more, reduces gun crime. And suicides. As the parent of teens, you should be well aware of the danger of having guns in the home(especially unsecured) and suicide risks. A teen's bad day can become a tragedy quickly.

That's correct, and they fully expected gun control laws to control access to firearms. The entire po8ntof the second amendment was gett8ng slave holding states to sign on to the Constitution, so they left it open. "Well controlled" should say it all.
