That still doesn’t answer the dereliction of duty by Senate in its failure to even consider Garland nomination despite him being more than qualified and the comments by Lindsay Graham and others that if Hillary won they would keep the seat open for four years

No law or rule prohibits the Senate from refusing to consider an appointment either.

It's just incredibly hypocritical to do that and then complain about partisanship in Supreme Court appointments. You reap what you sow.

Except the Constitution does not say that the winner of the majority of the states is the President. A candidate could win 26 small states/DC and lose electoral college. Any system will disenfranchise a portion of the population.

???? The state wins aren't based on the number of states, but population with those state. That's why California and Texas for example have more clout.

And have you looked at a county map of NY elections? Perhaps there ought to be a gubernatorial electoral college because right now the Adirondacks are disenfranchised due to a lack of population density.
