JayZ's example may have been 8 months short of his early retirement date, and might now have had to wait until his regular retirement date, which could have been much later.The same seems to be true of McCabe. His was fired 2 days short of his age-50 special early retirement date. Now he has to wait until his earliest regular retirement date of age 60. Firing simply "for cause" never affects a pension. In some jurisdictions, you can lose your pension for criminal activity related to your work, but not just because you broke the rules. |

But Sessions has a history of not doing things just because Trump wishes them.I'm not totally convinced that Sessions acted incorrectly. If the FBI disciplinary office made a convincing case that McCabe acted dodgily with respect to the WSJ interview, it would be weird for him to act differently. Just because McCabe may have done proper things that Trump couldn't stand doesn't mean he didn't do an improper thing that hurt Clinton, and the FBI's reputation. |
