While the workers did experience boosts in earnings overall, the report found the increases would have happened without the higher minimum thanks to the region's growing economy.

Yeah, it helped workers overall but those workers would have been helped anyway. Such a statement requires evidence.

Are we going to pretend that a shitty minimum wage does not cost the federal government anything ?

Yes I did read it. The trouble with you right-wingers is you can't look at two sets of data, do a balancing act, and make a decision. From your latest crack, you still can't understand it.

You also failed to consider a slowed economy from reduced purchasing power from reduced wages. Forget GDP about 3% and 4% growth rates when we have a shitty minimum wage, and a federal wage for tipped restaurant employees frozen at $2.34/hour for over 20 years. So you can stop blaming Obama for slow growth too.

That is why the Republican constituency demographic has become the lesser-educated of the two major parties, can only grasp what FOX news and like media tells them what to think.

A lower minimum wage is not "reduced wages". And you're omitting the lack of purchasing power that results from a constantly-devalued currency.

She doesn't bother reading, that's the problem. One assumes an article would be read before criticizing it. But when it involves Bingbong, that would be a mistaken assumption since she only looks at where the story came from before closing her mind. I've lost count of how many times she's denigrated a news journal without bothering to read its story, which invariably names the original source material that the reporter is writing about.

Does Seattle have any large suburbs outside the city limits? Look at those to take on a more city-like vibe as both people and businesses are priced out of the city proper.

At least NY was smart enough to put an emergency break on the upstate wage hike...
