Thanks, Obama! |
|
Posted by Nilet on Thu Dec 18 00:35:19 2014 Open enrollment season is here, allowing me to visit the health care exchange looking for my choice of coverage.Except there weren't any choices, because there wasn't any coverage. Exactly zero insurance companies offered to cover my health care costs. At least a dozen companies offered to take my money without actually paying any of my medical bills, and thanks to Obama and his Republican friends, I am now legally obligated to pay them money in exchange for "insurance" that forces me to pay out of pocket for my medical expenses anyway. People who claimed Obama was a liberal may now line up on the extreme right to issue retractions and apologies. People who claimed that the ACA was genuinely health care reform and would actually improve things may line up in the center and offer to pay my medical bills, because I can't get insurance that will. |

Nilet has some unmentionable disease or ailment (are you really surprised?) that no insurance company in their right mind wants to touch with a 10 foot pole. Do you blame them? I don't. I think the system is working just as designed. Thank you President Obama! G-d bless America - where the really annoying people are weeded out and gotten rid of through interesting methods such as not offering them health insurance. |

Do you blame them? I don't. I think the system is working just as designed. Exactly— the system is working as designed by denying people access to health care so that insurance companies can make larger profits. Problem is, Obama & Friends have been saying the goal was to provide health care, not to deny it. Thank you President Obama! God bless America - where the really annoying people are weeded out and gotten rid of through interesting methods such as not offering them health insurance. Are you saying you don't have health insurance? Because "really annoying" is a very apt description of you. Also, what's with the "G-d" thing? |

The only real problem with NY -- and this is a NY choice, not mandated by Obama, -- is that all the plans use closed networks -- if you go out-of-network, there is no coverage. Perhaps this is your problem? But if you find a plan in which your main doctors participate, you should be able to find a reasonably priced pan. And if you don't make a ton of money, you may even qualify for premium subsidies which lower costs tremendously. Regarding your mystery unnamed condition, none of the plans are allowed to -- nor do they -- ask about your pre-existing conditions. |

But if you find a plan in which your main doctors participate... And if I find a time machine, I'll take pictures of the 6th Avenue el. none of the plans are allowed to -- nor do they -- ask about your pre-existing conditions. It doesn't matter why they won't cover me, I'm still paying out of pocket. |

Admittedly, he's the only American to have that level of hatred, but being as he's a railfan it's not entirely unexpected. He's probably just miffed that I scrapped my heritage fleet rather than try to retrofit them all when I standardised everything.Tell Chicagomotorman that if he comes to my country, I'll give him a free system-wide pass valid for an entire month. Pass valid for 720 hours starting from first usage. Not valid on Cricket Star Express trains. A step-up charge of 5/50 will be assessed on Firefly Express trains. Limit four trips per 24-hour period. |

The legislative progression was Dolecare ==> Romneycare.Heritage Foundation in the 1980's also wanted mandatory coverage to prevent freeloading in the Emergency Rooms. Hillarycare did not focus on that |
