But I think it's a bad idea to have voting too early because roughly speaking all voters should be deciding the same issues. What if some major thing happens (candidate announcement, indictment, whatever) after half the people have already voted? |

All we need to do is ensure that every legitimate voter has access to a signal and some sort of device over a short period of time and that we don't let CGI Federal, Verizon, or United Hellcare build the systems? :)Centralized voting and databases would go a long way towards preventing fraud, and as long as the servers don't run Linux or Windows, there's half a chance. And no, I'm not trying to sell our stuff - we don't DO "server side" ... there's BSD and Blackberry's QNX OS is also damned good and safe. Sadly, most government systems aren't running either yet, but they COULD. |
